Run

Sunday was the tail end of the first heat wave of the season. It was about 80F when I headed out for my run at 2:45p. I was out for 36 minutes but ran for only maybe 32 minutes of that. I hadn't hydrated very thoroughly so I was out of sweat and saliva by about half-way.

My route, well, I can't draw my route on the USATF site because it's down now. Descriptively, it was: home, Rock to Rengstorff; north, over US-101; left on Garcia; along Garcia until reaching Bayshore at the T intersection; Bayshore to San Antonio and beyond until the US-101 underpass; (walked) beneath the freeway over to W. Bayshore Road; to Fabian Way; south along Fabian then right on Charleston; Charleston to Middlefield; east on Middlefield back to Independence. All told it was probably 4 miles, give or take. And next time, even if I don't think I need it, I'll bring the CamelBak.
