Nothing exciting

Nothing eventful, so a short entry here. Random highlights since the last time I wrote:

I spent 10 minutes practicing knife throwing at work yesterday. Getting the right stance helped a lot. The guy whose knives they were was much better than I. But maybe I'll need to practice some more. That was sort of fun. 8)

I spent most of yesterday and all of today coding. I've written probably 2500 lines of code in the last three days. Who knew I'd need to solve constraint satisfaction problems in my server? Neat things.

I placed my reservation for a hotel for my trip next week. 8 nights at a modest apartment/hotel on Budapest's Castle Hill. Now, just to figure out what I'm going to do to occupy my time in Hungary. There's plenty to do -- just picking what to do is the trick.

I got my digital camera back from the repair people. They fixed it! The flash works now and I'm happy. I even finally figured out how to take bulb pictures, so I can take shots of the nighttime lights and such on my trip.

I'm planning to do an organized run on Saturday. Two other people from work are doing it, too, so there's no bailing on it just because I don't want to wake up that early. 8) I'm forcing myself onto an earlier schedule so I can be up in time. The starting line is about 1.25 miles from my apartment -- it seldom gets more convenient than that. 8)

This weekend I have a car (I pick it up Friday morning, in fact). Nothing exciting on the docket, just errands. Heh, if anyone in Mountain View needs a lift this weekend, now's the time to pipe up. 8) If the weather holds, I may take off towards the East again to see the green hills and such. It'd be fun to drive up to the Lick Observatory again, just for the view, esp. if it's sunny. It'll also depend if I get my errands completed in time.

Er, that's about it. I think I'll head to bed before midnight for a change. 8)
