It finally rained here last night. It was a nice rain: it happened sometime between midnight and 8am, when no one really would be inconvenienced. All that it left behind were sort of web roads, ample water on lawns (automatic sprinklers still kicked in this morning), a nice wet world scent, and a thorough cleaning of the air. I can see the foothills again!

It looks like that was the last push of whatever low pressure cell we've been in. The dark grey clouds are already retreating this morning, and it looks like everything puffy and hanging in the sky should burn off by mid- or late-afternoon. Should be a nice evening.
