Running before breakfast
I went for a run this morning before breakfast (which turned out to be a glass of orange juice and a chocolate pomegranite protein bar). The route wasn't exciting: start at Melinda's place, up Parnassus to Stanyan, left and down Stanyan to Waller, right on Waller past an apartment I planned to look at later in the day, left and up Shrader to the GG Park Panhandle (Oak), out along the pan handle to Asbury, then back through the park, Kezar Drive, and ending at 5th and Lincoln. Total time was 19:30, which included 1:15 for stretching at 3:00 in (about Parnassus & Hill Point). Distance was probably about 2.5 miles, based on the time and my pace. I was pretty winded at the end, though, and not because I was running especially fast. This is just what happens when I go running before breakfast. Running in the afternoon I'm usually a bit more energetic.
Yesterday we had lots and lots of rain but today the skies were dry (but still cloudy). Temps were in the low to mid 50s.
