After my now seemingly usual hiatus of several weeks, I went for a run Sunday evening. It was basically my Kezar Loop
except that I backtracked along Kezar rather than return on Stanyan to Carl. Overall time was about 22 minutes but that included a walking length at around Stanyan on the return. I headed out around 4:30p Sunday evening when it was still light but cool, maybe 56F.
The great thing about the CamelBak is that I don't need to worry as much about hydrating before running. Yes, I still need to drink before I head out, but without the CamelBak I had to hydrate for 90 minutes or more before running, else I would be very thirsty when I was done. Now, I can get by with only maybe 20 minutes of pre-drinking, and can drink while running. Nice.
The air was very cold on my ears. My UW overshirt had a hood but it was pretty thin to the wind. Next time I need to wear a stretchy hat.
