/bin/mail, sendmail, and Google-hosted mail
I recently moved my domain to have its e-mail hosted by Google. All inbound mail now is correctly diverted to Google by means of changing the MX records for my domain to reply with ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM or whatever it's supposed to be. What I haven't managed to change yet is mail that's generated by my server itself. Specifically, if I run "mail x@the4cs.com" or "mail x@gmail.com" on the (mail, www, interactive login) server the local sendmail processes the message. I'd like that sendmail would treat "x@the4cs.com" as a non-local address and treat it the same way it treats x@gmail.com. As I type this I think I've been looking in the wrong place: this sounds like a sendmail config option whereas I've been thinking it's up to /bin/mail to do the right thing. A quick scan of sendmail.cf doesn't turn up anything (I don't think this is domain masquerading and that's the only context in which the4cs.com is mentioned in sendmail.cf). Any ideas?
