Last Tuesday, elections day, was a sunny and warm day -- just like you wouldn't expect even for California in November. I'd spent most of the day writing performance reviews for my team so I treated myself to leaving work for 90 minutes for a short run. Short route, probably about two miles: Lamplighter, through the Monta Loma neighborhood to Central at Mayfield, along Central to Rengstorff, Rengstorff back to Middlefield, then Middlefield back to the Lamplighter. Despite having not run for a few months I put in a descent time, about 16 minutes in total. My route came only close, but not in front of, the garage(!) where I dropped off my ballot earlier in the day.
