Nothing brings politicians together more closely...

...than the opportunity to skim off the top of a very big pot. I have to laugh when I see 60% of the nation's governors work together for something very important to all of them: imposing a sales tax on online commerce. (See this article) *sigh*

What's the funniest bit is the last paragraph. It says how much money the states are "losing" because they can't tap into this revenue source. The article doesn't make it clear, though, whether this money is being _lost_ in the sense of that e-commerce is supplanting brick-and-mortor commerce, or if it's only an _opportunity_ missed.

Okay, I'll stop there. I don't like to talk about politics, except things that are obscenely funny or things about transportation. Heh.
