I bought a pair of convertible pants from REI yesterday. The biggest selling point for me was that they fit and aren't frumpy (the only other pair at REI that also fit _was_ frumpy). But, fitting and lack of frumpiness isn't the only trick these pants have. These pants have been treated with an insect repellent, good for up to 25 washing cycles. Wear these pants and the mosquitoes want nothing to do with your legs. Sort of a neat idea -- why put insect repellent on your skin when you can leave it a breathable layer away? I look forward to trying this feature out next weekend.
